The barn was clean and comfortable – a little dated for our taste, but it served our purpose well. The garden is absolutely stunning

We had a fantastic as a family of four with two young children . The cottage was spotless, spacious, and very well located in a quiet area. The large garden was really nice, offering plenty of space to relax. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, making our stay comfortable although beds were a bit too small. The host was very responsive and helpful—communication was smooth and any queries were answered promptly. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a peaceful vacation.

Michael was very welcoming and had great communication before and during our stay. He made sure we had everything without being intrusive. The cottage is well furnished, particularly with a spacious upstairs. Its in a great rural setting with really great garden!

This is an excellent character property with kind, friendly and conscientious hosts. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place. Access to the hosts main garden is a real treat. The hosts have a very engaging and friendly dog and cat.

Lovely accommodation in a very quiet location. The accommodation was extremely well prepared with lovely touches like a Christmas Tree (we stayed for Christmas obviously) It had everything you need in terms of basics and a very well appointed kitchen. Rooms were beautifully set out and warm. a really enjoyable and relaxing place to stay.

The place is exactly as pictured. Great amenities and lots of space to spread out. The second twin bedroom upstairs is huge. The outdoor space is private and great on sunny days. Plus we had a nice BBQ out there. The garden is beautifully cared for. The location is great to access all the major sights one may want to see. Just wished we stayed longer.

We loved it!

We stayed a week in barn end and liked it more and more , the longer we stayed.

Very clean, completly furnished and equipped. We missed nothing.
Ground floor with a bedroom and a very comfortable queen size bed and a seperate washing room and a shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped. We especially liked, that there were not only one single set of dishes, as it is usually the matter, but there were additional cups and cutlery, so that we were not forced to wash up after every single use of a cup and a spoon.
Then there is a living room with a flatscreen tv and a bathroom with a tub.
Everything very clean and everything is working.
WLAN is very good.
The attic is a dream.
Soft floor, 2 single Beds which are also very good. Bright colours, the sun shines in.
It has a seperate sink.

Outside there is a terrace which is very nice.
And the orchard is just wonderfull.
We also like the cat and the doog which have definitly under-tickled. :)

The town itself is very secluded and the entrance to the property could need a sign at the road to be better found but it is just wonderfull.

We will consider to come back some day.

My young family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was really good for a small family. It was peaceful and quiet, with a lovely garden for the children to enjoy. The little touches (Thomas the Tank Engine bedding for my four-year-old) were lovely. It was also very good value.

Perfect place for a chilled getaway. Very pretty area and Michael and Sue were very helpful and welcoming.

well equipped, clean and comfortable accommodation

A lovely space with great hosts right on hand to answer our questions. Everything as described with a fantastic space upstairs which our children loved! A secure enclosed garden with wonderful views – we thoroughly enjoyed our escape from the city.

Prima huisje, netjes, schoon. Leuke omgeving.

Great barn conversion right in the heart of Romney Marshes. Beautiful village and surrounding countryside, great for walks and access to the coast. Very grateful to Michael and Sue for their hospitality. It helps to have own transport in this location, though we managed with taxis and an OS maps app which guided us around local footpaths.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Newchurch. Our hosts were welcoming; as was Lucy the dog and the cat whose name I never discovered.
This was a splendid base for exploring the Romney Marsh. We were able to cycle to Hythe and Dungeness , walk to Dymchurch and ride on the RH&RD railway.
The cottage itself is comfortable and provided all that we needed. And the views from the garden were lovely: i enjoyed watching the martins feed in the field behind.

This accomodation is very comfortable and spacious. Kitchen is well equiped for home cooking. Hosts very welcoming.

We had a great stay in Newchurch. Clean, comfy and with great care from our hosts.

The barn is a really comfortable place to stay in a very quiet village. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and the property is very clean.
Lots of space in the upstairs room for children to play and a large garden too.
The small village has a good playground including a a zip wire. Lots of places to visit including Rye, Hythe , Dungeness, Canterbury and several interesting gardens including great Dixter and Sissinghurst.

lovely place, close to all visitor attractions and the coast. Would definitely come here again and we all loved lucy the owners dog and loved having her come in and visit us on more than one occasion.

Quiet, clean home with a lovely garden in the pretty village of Newchurch. The Barn provided everything we needed (two bathrooms was an extra bonus) and was close to the sea which was a great. We particularly liked walking on the promenade in Hythe. Michael and his wife were very helpful with advice on local places to visit. The wifi connection was great but depending on the network it was a struggle to get a phone signal.
Great place to get away from it all.

We had a great time staying at Barn End. It was a lovely clean cottage and Michael responded promptly to any queries and followed up with an item we left behind!
There is lots to do nearby so a good family weekend away
